Thank you Jazz
November 23, 2018
The past week has been a really tough one for me. Jazz, my cute, little furry friend I've known since my days in high school, passed away exactly a week ago. All I have been doing is looking at all the photographs I’ve taken of her. I only wish I made more. She was a Shiba Inu who always knew how to use her cuteness to get her way and those are the very traits I miss about her most. It's funny, she didn't act so much like a dog as she did like a cat. To show her affection, she would sometimes rub her body against my legs. On the way home, I sometimes think, "oh yeah, I have to walk Jazz", and then I would remember that she is no longer with us. She lived a very good 15 years and was cared for not just by me and Mukul but also by my older sister and my parents who looked after her with lots of love and affection. In a celebration of thanks this Thanksgiving holiday, I thank Jazz for teaching me compassion, love with no expectations, and making me realize what's really important in life: relationships, family, friends, and love. I commemorate this post for this furry family member of ours. We miss you Jazz, but you will remain in our hearts forever.
