Reminiscent of Classic Hollywood
February 12, 2018
This was shot for my series, Transcension. I was going for a glamorous, Hollywood look that depicted an American woman from the 1900s. My lighting is pretty much the same for all the portraits in this series for consistency's sake. There are slight power variations in the lights and slight changes in where the light is placed in relation to the the subject for each shoot, but no major changes. I have a Chimera Beauty Dish as the key light placed on camera left. I have a Profoto RFi Softbox and a Westcott Reflector--I used the silver side--for fill on camera right. I have a Profoto RFi Strip Box behind the subject toward camera right to give her a nice rim light and I have a Profoto Umbrella behind on camera left to light up the background.
